(I was given tickets to Ringling Brothers in exchange for this post. All opinions are my own. Read my Full Disclosure HERE)
1Have you ever attended the Ringling Bros. And Barnum and Bailey Circus?
Well up until a few weeks ago I would answer no I hadn’t. In fact, I had never been to ANY circus neither had my children. (I think my husband had gone many years ago as a kid.) That was why I was absolutely thrilled when I learned that I would be able to take my family to go see Ringling Bros. and Barnum and Bailey Circus “Out of this World” performance in SLC, Ut at the Vivint Smart arena. (If you want to learn more about what all the“Out of this World” Circus performance includes Click HERE)
During the days leading up to opening night when we were attending, I got my kids all excited by showing them pictures and watching some behind the scene videos on Youtube. My kids were sooo excited that they were practically dancing in their seats on the drive up to SLC (about an hour away from where we live). They didn’t even mind waiting in line to get in.
Our seats were fantastic (though I am sure everyone could say that) and my whole family was entranced from the very first moment of this most epic show. I loved how the show told a story as well as awed everyone with the amazing feats of talent. During the intermission, my kids and I spent the whole time talking about our favorite parts of the show thus far.
My daughters Favorite part was the performance with the Lions and Tigers. I loved the Trapeze and then the trick Hose riding performance (they really were amazing) , my husband said hands down it was the motorcyclists (I loved that too but boy did my heart pound a time or two as I watched), and my oldest son enjoyed the clowns. my youngest doesn’t talk yet but often through the whole performance he was jumping up and down and adorably clapping.
As a warning, this performance is fast paced, Loud and bright so you will probably experience a bit of overstimulation in a good way from attending. If you have a chance to go see this show I recommend taking your whole family. If you need some tips for taking young children you can read my post about it here. I can tell you one thing: after attending be prepared for your kids to be talking about the experience for weeks afterward.
