Hey, everyone, it’s Rachel from Get Away Today and I am here to give you all my best tips and tricks on how to plan the best Disneyland vacation ever!
I don’t know about you, but when I am planning a trip to Disneyland, I want to do everything I possibly can when visiting. We are huge Disney fans in my family, and when we head to California we want to make the most of our trip and make it as memorable as we can. Here are a few of my tips for planning the most epic Disney family vacation.
My first tip is to plan exactly what you want to experience when you go to the park, in advance. The best time of year for you to go is really dependent on what you want to experience when at the Disneyland Resort. If you want to experience all the parades, shows and the majority of rides open, then peak times like spring break, summer, Halloween Time and The Holidays at the Disneyland Resort are the best options for you. However, if you are looking for lower prices, fewer crowds and are okay with more rides being closed for maintenance, off-peak travel times like January, February, May, September and early November are the best times to travel.
Once you have figured out what you want to experience while in the parks, the next recommendation is to be in the parks as long as you can. For Disneyland tickets, you pay less per day the more days you go. Get Away Today even has a 5 days for the price of a 4 day Disneyland ticket, so you can experience even more for less money!
Another tip is to plan what you want to do ahead of time. Once you get to the parks, it is a sensory overload, in a good way! There is so much going on that you can get lost in the magic. If there are certain things you want to do, be sure to plan how to get those done before you get to the park so you can make sure you make the most of your epic trip. Also be sure to check Disneyland’s schedule for any closures, maintenance or show cancellations. There is no time for disappointment at the Happiest Place on Earth!
My final tip is to book with Get Away Today. Our staff are experts in all things Disneyland and travel there every year to get familiar with the parks and hotels so we can give you the best recommendations on how to make the most of your trip. Not only are we experts, but we have discounted tickets and hotel rates, 3rd or 4th night free specials, reduced or waived parking and resort fees and even some breakfasts are included!
