Do you want to make your own Fizzing Whizzbees?

If you are a Harry Potter fan you have probably fantasized about the delicious Honeyduke sweets mentioned throughout the books and movies. The most iconic Harry Potter treat in my opinion are the Chocolate Frogs (with those tradeable wizard cards) and Berty Botts Every Flavor Beans. There are many more delicious treats mentioned. One of them are Fizzing Whizzbees.

While officially in the Harry Potter books Fizzing Whizzbees are sherbet balls that when you eat will cause you to hover over the floor. The Fizzing Whizbees you can buy at Universal are actually Bee shaped chocolates with fruit-flavored pop rocks in them. These chocolate Whizzbees are super yummy and fun to eat so I thought I would share how to make your own with this copy cat recipe.

Harry Potter Chocolate Fizzing Whizzbees

Make your own fizzy Whizzbees chocolates that not only taste delicious but have the added fun of popping in your mouth with every bite. With this easy copy cat recipe!

Prep Time 5 minutes

Freeze Time 10 minutes

Chill in Fridge Time 30 minutes

Total Time 45 minutes

Ingredients

• Dark Chocolate
• Pop Rocks

Instructions

1. Melt your chocolate. (Either in a double boiler or in a plastic bowl in the microwave. If you are melting in the microwave do so in 20-30 intervals string in between to make sure you don't burn the chocolate. )
2. Spoon a thin layer into Bee chocolate mold
3. Tap Mold on the counter (to make sure all air bubbles are out)
4. Sprinkle a thick layer of pop rocks over the chocolate.
5. Pour another thin layer of chocolate into molds to cover the pop rocks
6. Chill in Freezer for 10 minutes
7. Then move to Refrigerate for 30 minutes
8. Pop chocolates out of the mold
9. Package with Free Fizzy Whizbees Printable Label.

Notes

You can make these milk or dark chocolate but I prefer the dark chocolate which contrasts well with the sweetness of the pop rocks.

This printable comes as a 1 page ready to print PDF file with 2 open-sided triangle boxes. You can print them at home or at your local copy center. Though I do recommend printing on cardstock for durability.

​​​​​​​After you cut out the open-sided triangle boxes, fold on the lines. Place 3 Fizzing whizzbees in 3x4inch clear bags (normally used for suckers) fold over the top edge of the bag and staple to the top of the back of the box. Then fold the front flap over the back and close with either tape or glue.
