Do you like to celebrate your birthday? If you don’t, I’d like to suggest that it’s never too late to start. I firmly believe that you should embrace your age – you’ve earned every single year. Whether you realize it or not, the world is a better place for having you in it.
There are so many ways to celebrate your birthday! In our house, we always have a special family birthday dinner where the birthday boy or girl gets to choose what we have for dinner and their birthday dessert. We don’t always do cake – for example, I usually have a Pink Lemonade Pie. My kids change their birthday dessert preferences year to year, but lately, they are all obsessed with having a Donut Cake (AKA a big stack of donuts). Our kids also love having parties to celebrate with friends, and I personally love to take advantage of many of the birthday freebies and special offers from my favorite companies.
If you’re like me and want to enjoy birthday freebies and special offers from popular companies but aren’t sure where to find and sign up to receive them, I’ve got your back. I’ve put together a list of some of my favorites that I’ll share below.
(Some of these freebies or specials are only valid on your birthday, others are available for several days surrounding your birthday, and some can be redeemed any time during the month of your birthday. Some offers require no purchase, while others are BOGO deals or require a minimum purchase.)
All of these awesome birthday treats require you to sign up to receive them, but they are totally worth it. I love that, right before my birthday every year, I get a whole bunch of emails reminding me to come in and claim my birthday treats. Usually, I just pick a few to redeem each year, but it’s so nice to have options.

Red Robin
Red Robin offers a free Gourmet Burger (with a $4.99 accompanying purchase) for Adults during the month of your birthday as one of their perks of their Red Robin Royalty Program.
They also have a Kids Birthday offer of a $7.00 off discount from your order (with a $4.99 accompanying Purchase) You would just need to add your kids birthday information (for kids under 17) to your rewards account.
Baskin-Robbins
Get 1 Free scoop of Ice Cream for your birthday. You can sign up via their rewards program or via their app.
Tucanos
Tucanos offers a free CHURRASCO (AKA free meal) with the purchase of another meal as well as points with every visit to use toward future meals with their Club Tucanos Membership
Firehouse Subs
Receive a FREE MEDIUM SUB with any purchase on your birthday
Jamba Juice
Jamba Juice offers a free (12oz) small Smoothie or Juice for your birthday to all their rewards members.
Starbucks
Starbucks as part of its rewards program offers one complimentary handcrafted beverage (standard Starbucks® menu sizes only), or one food item or one ready-to-drink bottled beverage such as an Evolution Fresh™ juice.
Cold Stone
Members receive a Buy One, Get One FREE Creation™ coupon loaded to their account for their birthday. This BOGO is valid 7 days before and after the member's birthday.
Arbys
Arby's for your birthday sends you a coupon (via email) to get a free small shake and small fries with the purchase of a sandwich at a normal price.
Sonic
Sign up for the Sonic mobile-ordering app and add your birthday to receive a special birthday push offer! On your big day, you'll get a choice between a small shake (classic or master) or a side. Keep in mind that a purchase is required to claim your freebie.
Culver's
Culver's offers a free one-scoop dish with one topping on your birthday to MyCulver's members. To get this reward, you need to sign up for a MyCulver's account and add your birthday. You can also add family members' birthdays to celebrate with them.
Krispy Kreme
Krispy Kreme offers a free Birthday gift to its reward members. Typically a free donut. Birthday rewards are sent on the date of your birthday listed in your account and valid for 30 days from receipt.
Olive Garden
Olive Garden offers a free dessert to diners on their birthday. To receive this reward, guests can sign up for the Olive Garden eClub and include their birthdate. A free dessert, along with a celebratory singing of the birthday song by the staff, is a common birthday tradition at the restaurant.
Auntie Anne's
Auntie Anne's offers a birthday reward of a free pretzel to members of their Rewards program. To get this, you'll need to sign up for the app or website and make at least one purchase during the year. You will get the Birthday voucher the 1st day of the month of your birthday and can use it any day that month.
IHOP
IHOP offers as part of their MYHOP rewards program a free pancake meal for your birthday.
Cheese Cake Factory
The Cheesecake Factory offers a free slice of cheesecake on your birthday (with any purchase) to reward members.
Chick-fil-A
Chick-fil-A offers a birthday reward to members of their Chick-fil-A One program. The reward is a free treat, like a small milkshake, frosted lemonade, or frosted coffee, depending on the member's tier. To receive the reward, you need to add your birthday to your Chick-fil-A One account and make sure you're updated to the latest version of the app. The reward is valid for 30 days.
Panera Bread
Panera Bread offers a birthday reward to members of their MyPanera loyalty program. MyPanera members receive one free pastry, sweet, or bagel on their birthday. If you're also a member of MyPanera Plus Unlimited Sip Club, you receive two birthday rewards. You'll need to sign up for MyPanera and ensure your birthday is added to your profile.
Shake Shack
If you add your birthday to your profile on the Shake Shack app or website and opt-in to marketing emails, you'll receive a free classic shake (Vanilla, Chocolate or Strawberry) on your birthday.

Ruby Tuesday Reward Members get a Free Dessert voucher 7 days before their Birthday and expires 14 days after receipt. *An add-on Garden Bar is also available in place of the birthday dessert.

Michaels Rewards Program members get a Birthday reward. You'll typically receive a voucher or discount code for a free gift or discount on your purchase. The specific details of the birthday reward can vary, so check the Michaels website for the current offer.
