Easy Monster Face Halloween Party Favor Bags

Sharing is caring!

These adorable Halloween Party Favor Bags took less than 15 minutes to make with Iron on, Googly eyes and a hot glue gun!

There is something to be said about quick and easy projects. Sure sometimes I am uber-ambitious and design projects that take a lot of time and patience to make  (like the project I will be posting later today.) however often my favorite projects are ones that take less than 15 minutes to design and make. Like these Monster face Halloween Party Favor Bags.

I used my Cricut to cut out the mouths for ease and speed. I used Iron on specifically since it is soo easy to use and works great with the delicate paper of the treat bags. (This was a perfect project to use my Iron-on scrapes for). You could use Vinyl (but if you do, don't use transfer tape it will ruin the bags. Rather just pretend it is a sticker and place it by hand.). You could also use paper and glue it if you wish.

Enjoy the tutorial for this fast and easy Halloween project. My kids are going to use these bags as party favors for their annual Halloween party with their cousin.

Instructions:

  • Open Cricut Design Space for The Monster Mouths --> HERE <--

  • Click to Mirror Image then set Your Cricut Material to Iron on and cut on Standard Grip Mat.

  • Weed out unneeded iron on.

  • Set your EasyPress to 280 for 30 seconds. (I love this new small easy press because it is the perfect size for small projects like this)

  • Place your mouth where desired on the paper bag, Press for 30 Seconds with slight pressure and then cold peel.

  • Use your Hot glue gun to attach the googly eyes where desired. **Pardon my ugly hot glue gun. It has been well used.

  • Fill with treats.

I love the effect of using those moveable googly eyes for the Halloween faces. They really add to the overall fun look and my kids absolutely LOVE them too.

A lot of my projects require glue to assemble. My two main types of glue that I use the most are inexpensive gluesticks (for a lot of my paper crafting projects and Hot glue (for almost everything else.) I love hot glue because it is easy to use, works great and dries/hardens quick. If you need some great tips and tricks for using hot glue I highly recommend getting  the Hot Glue Hacks and Crafts book available on Amazon --> HERE<--

I created these fun Monster Face Halloween Party Favor Bags to celebrate the launch of this oh so helpful Hot Glue book. I have teamed up with some of my favorite crafty bloggers to each share a quick and easy Hot Glue project (that takes less than 15 minutes.)
