Disney Inspired Mickey Mouse Krispie Pops
Did you know that Disney's Mickey Mouse Krispie Pops are easy to make at home?
Right now Disney's parks are closed, but don't let that stop you from enjoying some of your favorite Disney treats. Today my kids and I had fun making these Disney Park Inspired Mickey Mouse Krispie Pops. I modified the classic Krispie treat recipe that we then used our Mickey Mouse cookie cutter to cut out and then added the large popsicle sticks and decorated with chocolate. They are easy to make and were soo delicious.
My kid's favorite ones were the ones we totally dipped in melted chocolate and then added sprinkles. Personally, I prefer just a touch of chocolate so my favorite were the ones we just lightly drizzled in dark and white chocolate.
Disney Inspired Mickey Mouse Krispie Pops
This recipe is inspired by the Mickey Krispie treat you can get find at the Disney Parks. They are easy to make and the perfect way to bring some Disney Magic into your home while the parks are all closed.
Ingredients
- 11 ½ cups of Rice Krispy Cearel
- 1 (16 oz) Bag of Mini Marshmellos
- 5 Tablespoons Butter
Instructions
- Grease cookie sheet (I prefer to use butter)
- Melt butter in a large pot
- Add Marshmallows and still till fully melted
- Add Rice Krispies and thoroughly mix
- Pour Krispie mixture onto a cookie sheet
- Use a large spoon (coated in butter) to press Krispies unto the pan
- Let sit for a few minutes to start to firm
- Grease Mickey Mouse cookie cutter (with butter) and then use to cut Krispies into Mickey mouse shapes.
- Let sit to fully firm up.
- Carefully push popsicle sticks into the bottom part of Mickey Krispie treat.
- Decorate with melted chocolate & sprinkles (drizzle or dip)
Notes
** If the stick doesn't stay firmly in the Krispie treat dip the end of the popsicle stick in melted chocolate then stick it back into the Krispie treat.
***If you want the Krispies softer and aren't intending to turn them into pops just have them as mickey Mouse Shaped Krispie treats use 9 ½ cup of Krispie Cereal
