Patriotic Cake Batter Muddy Buddies are the perfect last-minute treat to make this 4th of July!

Are you a fan of muddy buddies? I have to admit I love them. They are so addicting to eat. Best of all they are super easy to make. These Patriotic Cake Batter Muddy Buddies took less than 10 minutes to make.

Since I couldn't find any bags of M&M's patriotic Red, White, and Blue M&M's at the store I settled for buying a snack bag of original M&M's and a snack bag of Peanut Butter M&M's and just picked all the red and blue ones out of both to mix in with my muddy buddies. This combination was a hit so I think I always do it this way.

Patriotic Cake Batter Muddy Buddies

These delicious Patriotic Cake Batter Muddy Buddies only take minutes to make and are soo delicious they will be eaten before you know it.

Ingredients

5 Cups Rice Chex
1 ¾ Cup White Chocolate Candy Melts
1 bottle of Red, White & Blue Sprinkles
¾ Cup White Cake Mix
¼ Cup Powder Sugar
2 cups Red & Blue M&Ms

Instructions

Measure Rice Chex into a large Bowl

Put cake mix & powder sugar in Gallon Ziplock

Melt White Chocolate

Pour over the Rice Chex and stir carefully (so as not to smush the Chex) until cereal is fully coated.

LIberally pour sprinkles over the cereal and mix in. (I usually pour the whole bottle)

Pour cereal mixture into ziplock with the cake mix and powder sugar

Shake in a bag until the cereal is fully coated.

Pour onto a cookie sheet to cool and add M&Ms

Serve on a platter or in a bowl.

Notes

If you don't have a double boiler to melt your chocolate melts you can do it in the microwave. To do so put chocolate in a plastic bowl and place it in the microwave for 30 seconds. Stir and then put back in for 20 seconds then stir again. Repete this progress until the chocolate is fully melted.

Warning: These Muddy Buddies are totally addicting. One you start eating them you will be drawn back again and again until you have consumed ever last delectable bite.
