DIY "FALLing For You" Shirt! (Made with Cricut Iron-On)
I am in love with the Fall shirt I just made with Cricut Iron-On!

I have to admit that I have become obsessed with making custom clothing with my Cricut Explore Air and Cricut Iron-on (Heat Transfer Vinyl). It is sooo easy and the design possibilities are endless! Which is why I couldn't pass up the opportunity to design and create a special shirt for my favorite season of the year. Autumn or The Fall. Every year as the weather turns cool and the leaves change from green to Red, yellow, Orange and brown I Fall in Love all over again with this wonderful season. This is also the season my husband and I met and courted. I thought the Phrase "FALLing For You" fit perfectly with how I feel about this time of year. The swirling leaves and elbow patches added that final touch to really make this shirt trendy in a classic way.
For the FALL, Leaves and Elbow Patch I used Cricut's Gold Glitter Iron On, and for the "ing For You" I used simple Black Iron on. To access my exact design just go to my Cricut Design Space Canvas click here.
When cutting the Iron on make sure you have the right setting on your Cricut machine (there is a setting for iron on) and then after clicking the go button to send the design to the machine to cut make sure you check the box to reverse the image so when applied the words and design aren't backwards.
After I cut out the design I like to peel the Iron on off the mat and cut around the design to conserve the leftover Iron on for future projects. Then I place the cut section back on the mat to help grip the back to make it easier to weed out the design. To weed the design just stick the hook of your weeding tool in a part of the Iron on you are not using and gently pull.
Once the design is fully weeded it is time to figure out the placing on the shirt Though you only iron on one layer or type at a time I like to lay it all out just to make sure that it is straight before pulling off and setting aside the extra layers to start with the bottom one first.
The elbow patches were more tricky. For those, I tried on the shirt and then decided where I wanted the patches. I decided that the perfect position was on the back side of the ironed top crease and one hands-with (spread fingers from thumb to pinkie) from the top seam to the top of the patch.) Next time I think I just place that patch then pull off and use a fabric pen or pencil to mark where I want to place the patches.
