DIY 'Be Kind' Infusible Ink Mug Made with Cricut's Mug Press
Make your own Infusible Ink Mug in minutes with Cricut's Mug Press
Last week Cricut announced the release of the Cricut Mug Press. This mug press was designed specifically to help you make professional-quality infusible Ink mugs in just minutes!

After having used my mug press to make several mugs over the last few weeks I am totally obsessed!

Seriously, the Mug Press is incredibly easy to use and the infusible Ink mugs come out with a perfect vivid design every time! Best of all these mugs are dishwasher and microwave safe!! They make for the perfect gifts. I am already designing some to give as gifts to friends.
For those who have Cricut Access, Cricut has come out with several gorgeous Mug designs you can use as well as mug templates to help you design your own. (Cricut also has a free basic template available for which you don't need Cricut Access. Which I will link to later in this post)
For my first Mug press tutorial for my blog, I thought I would do a fun "Be Kind" Mug. You can make your own Be Kind mug following the step-by-step tutorial below, or pin this post to your Cricut DIY pinboard to make later.
DIY Be Kind Infusible Ink Mug
Enjoy this step-by-step tutorial for using Cricut's Infusible Ink and new Mug Press to make your own Be Kind Mug!

Open Cricut Design Space canvas for "Be Kind" Mug-->HERE<--
Click to make it and be sure to select the mirror image for the mat.
Choose Infusible Ink Sheets on the materials list and load it into the machine on a standard grip mat material side up.
After cutting weed design by hand
Use a lint roller/cloth on your mug to make sure there is no lint on the mug that would mess up the design.
Place the mug on a hard surface and carefully (and tightly) wrap the mug design around the mug. (Make sure that the bottom of the design is flush with the bottom of the mug) placing the tabs under the handle.
**I like to add a few pieces of heat-resistant tape above and below the handle as well as on the bottom of the mug to make sure the design stays nice and tight.
Turn on Mug Press and when heated place your mug into the press making sure that the whole design is covered.
Press down the mug clamp and let the mug press do the rest. It will beep when done.
Lift the Mug Press clamp and carefully pull out the mug.
**The handle will be cool to the touch but be careful with the mug itself will be extremely hot.
Place on an Easypress mat to coll for a few minutes
Once cool to the touch peel off the design.

** The Mug template is a free design even if you don't have Cricut Access
Before you hit customize scroll down and in the dropdown select the mug size and desired border.

I love how this mug turned out. We all could use the reminder to "Be Kind" through everything happening in the world today. I loved the vivid colors from the patterned infusible Ink sheet that worked well with the bold design. This is definitely one of my favorite mugs so far.
