Have you heard about the Organ Stop Pizza?

When I first heard about the Organ Stop Pizza I honestly didn't know what to think. I mean really? Organ music at a pizza place?? Yet when I was told about it by the great people at the Mesa Tourism (The tourism departments are always a great source of information for places to visit and things to do locally) they assured me that my kids would love it. I wasn't sure how much my kids would love organ music but I was willing to give the place the benefit of the doubt since I love introducing my kids to unique food places when we travel.

When we arrived at Organ Stop Pizza, while I waited in line to order our meal my boys dragged my husband into the arcade just inside the doors and my daughter sent to check out all the cute beanie baby pets in their little gift shop. The had a lot to choose from (and great prices) We ended up ordering a meaty pizza, with cheese sticks an french fries for my daughter who wasn't in the mood for pizza that night.

For our drink, we opted for a pitcher of ice water and a pitcher of chilled lemonade.  I love how they keep all their drink pitchers in a freezer so that the drinks are extra frosty when you get them.

After our order, we found the perfect spot upstairs to eat and enjoy the Organ music. I love the old-school feel of the whole place.  It was so cozy and inviting while at the same time grand and theatrical.

The Organ all the pipes, and other built-in extras encompassed a whole wall. I understand that The Organ at the Mesa Organ Stop Pizza is one of the largest theatrical Organs in the world known as the Mighty Wurlitzer.  As the Organist serenaded us with song after song I was delighted that my children were just as entertained as my husband and I was. I don't know what they loved more, the music or the lights.

After we finished our delicious dinner (seriously that was one of the best Pizza's I have had in a long time) we decided to indulge in a scop or two of delicious ice cream.

We had such a great experience at Organ Stock Pizza that my kids still talk about going back.  In the meantime I content myself with watching some of the videos I captured on my cell phone while we were there. Like this one, I share on my Instagram account.
