A Berry Delicious Valentine's Day Breakfast
Start your Valentine's Day off right with a delicious Valentine themed breakfast!
My life can often be crazy busy with lots of work and stress. Which is why I try to celebrate when I can and make special time even more special. That's why I love to decorate for Holidays and birthdays, do special crafts and activities and even special meals like this Valentine's Day Breakfast.
While traditionally my special Valentine's Meal is a decadent dinner I thought to up my game by also making a special Valentine. Breakfast. Wanting it be just right I experimented with a few ideas (some more elaborate than others.) and ended up deciding that simple can be fun too. So for Valentine's Day this year I will be making heart shaped pancakes each topped with a heart-shaped slice of strawberry, Bacon cooked into hearts and a fluffy iced cinnamon roll with raspberries.
To make the heart shaped pancakes I carefully poured the pancake mix into a "V" which when cooked looked like perfect little hearts. If you are unsure if you have a steady enough hand you can always get a heart-shaped cookie cutter to pour the pancake mix into.
To make the heart shaped bacon I lined my cookie sheet with parchment paper and then carefully placed the bacon in the shape of a heart then cooked it in the oven on Broil until the bacon looked cooked.
To get the heart shaped strawberry sliced I just cut off the green part by cutting a v into the top of the strawberry then cut the strawberry into sliced.
I love how quick and easy this meal is. Especially when I used a premade pancake mix (Krustize) and ready to bake (Pillsbury Grands) cinnamon rolls. I know how to make it all from scratch but on a busy weekday morning going the quick and easy way works best in our home.
