Have you ever stayed at the Little America Hotel in SLC, Ut?

Recently I taught at Cricut’s Mountain Make-A-Thon in SLC. The 3-day crafting conference was held at The Little America Hotel in downtown Salt Lake City. During the conference to facilitate both teaching and staffing, Cricut got me a tower room at the hotel. This was my first time traveling solo without my family, (and while part of me wished they could be there with me since I knew they would enjoy themselves) I had an amazing time.

Though I spend a majority of my days in various conference rooms teaching or assisting in classes I couldn’t help but think that this elegant hotel had everything you need for the perfect getaway. They had both an indoor & outdoor pool (which I sadly didn’t get to use this stay), a fitness room (which I did enjoy), a restaurant (which I didn’t eat at this say but had previously enjoyed, and a little store.

Sadly since I spent most of my time at Little America working at the conference, didn’t have the opportunity to take as many pictures as I would like. I did, however, take photos of my lovely room which was perfectly luxurious. I also did a video walkthrough of my room on TheQuietGrove Facebook Page that you can view –> HERE <–

The first thing I noticed when I entered my room was the wonderful natural light provided by the large windows. (thankfully the windows also had blackout curtains to provide the perfect darkness for sleeping at night.) Combined with the elegant colors and decoration gave the whole room a light and airy feel.

The bed which I tried out right away was soft yet firm enough that I slept like a baby. (well once I got over the fact that I wasn’t sharing it with my husband. I mean we have been married for almost 10 years and the first time we had slept apart)

They even put a pair of Cumming Mint Chocolates on my pillow every night. The perfect treat at the end of a long day.

Across from my bed was a gorgeous wood desk and of course, they had wireless internet which is a must for a blogger who works remotely wherever she goes. I like that the desk was right next to a large natural light giving window.

The sitting area in my room overlooked the outdoor pool and consisted of 2 comfy chairs, a couch, coffee table, side table, a tall dresser with a flat screen tv on top (that could be tilted to watch in bed if I preferred (which I did a time or two.

For other basic amenities, my room had 2 comfy robes to use, a coffee/tea maker, a fridge, and a hair blow dryer. all in the vanity area next to the bathroom.

I have to admit next to the comfortable bed my favorite part of my hotel suite was the bathroom. The soaps smelled divine and the large tub was perfect for a soothing bubble bath at the end of each day of the conference.

I am totally going to need to go back, only next time with my husband for a romantic getaway for just the two of us. I love that the hotel is situated downtown so we can go out in the evening and enjoy the sites of SLC at night when we aren’t purely enjoying everything the hotel has to offer.
