Easy Spinach & Artichoke Cheese Dip Made with the Bellini Kitchen Master
(I was given a complimentary Bellini Kitchen master by Bellini to facilitate this Recipe/Review. However, as always, the views and opinions expressed are entirely my own. You can read my full disclosure here.)
Have you heard about the Bellini Kitchen Master?
I recently found out about the Bellini Kitchen Master and when I did, I knew I had to get my hands on one to see if it really was all that it was reported to be. It is basically, a mixer, food processor, cooker and steamer all in one. Just thinking about how much the Bellini could simplify my time in the kitchen got me excited to try one out. When my Bellini, arrived I was super excited and a bit overwhelmed. I mean where should I start? The Kitchen master came with the base, a mixing bowl, a chopping blade, stirring blade, Mixing tool, cooking basket, steaming baskets, and scraping tool.
Thankfully the Bellini also came with a detailed easy to follow instruction manual as well as a Recipe book full of recipes especially to use with the Bellini (as in not just the ingredients but directions with the speed, time, heat settings, and which mixing tool to use.
In the instruction manual, it advised to start out with some of the triple tried recipes found in the recipe book to get used to the Bellini before branching out to try out other recipes. After flipping through the recipe book and seeing a lot of recipes that could be fun to try, I finally saw a recipe that I knew I had to try. I absolutely love Spinach and Asperigas Cheese Dip. It is my favorite appetizer, to order from my favorite Italian restaurants. I have been wanting to learn how to make it myself for ages.
**I had to modify the recipe slightly because the recipe called for a 9oz frozen bag of Spinach and a 9 oz bag of frozen artichoke hearts but all I could find at my local stores (and I went for multiple ones to even find the Artichoke hearts) was a 10 oz bag of spinach and an 8 oz bag of Artichoke hearts. Thankfully I had no problem with the other ingredients. The recipe below will be the one I actually made (modified ingredient amounts) When you get the Bellini you can find the original recipe on page 36 of the recipe book.Â
Ingredients:
- 8 oz bag of frozen artichoke hearts (Thawed)
- 10 oz  bag of frozen Spinach (Thawed)
- ½ Cup Sour Cream
- ½ Cup Mayonnaise
- 8 oz package of  Cream Cheese  (Room Temperature and cut into )
- ½teaspoon garlic powder
- Sea Salt & Pepper to taste
Directions:Â
- Thaw both the Frozen Artichokes and Spinach and then squeeze out all the liquid you can from each (keeping them separate.)
- Attach the Chopping Blade in the bowl of your Bellini and add the Artichokes. Chop for 8 seconds on speed 5.
- Add the spinach and pulse once then scrape the sides of the bowl.
- Fit the Mixing tool over the chopping blade
- Add all the rest of the ingredients
- Set the Bellini to Cook at 80C for 10 minutes at speed 3. Then hit the "On"Â button to start.
- Take the lid off carefully (the bowl will be hot from cooking) and scoop the warm dip into a serving bowl.
- Enjoy!
Making the Spinach and Artichoke Cheese dip was so easy with the Bellini. The lid is a bit hard to get on the machine (though it is getting easier as I am getting used to it.) since its important to get a tight seal to protect you from hot food splattering. The rest of the process was crazy easy. My husband who was skeptical of my new kitchen machine was blown away. The moment of truth came with how good the dip was. We tried it as soon as I opened the lid before I even downloaded it into a serving bowl. The taste was fantastic and it was nice and hot (not burn your mouth hot but pleasantly hot.) I am glad I bought enough ingredients to make a second batch because this first batch was eaten in just minutes.
I can't wait to try out some recipes with my Bellini. Next time I think I'll try to steam so fish and veggies. or maybe make some delicious soup. I think one of the best parts of the Bellini is that when you are done cooking with it, you can use it's self-cleaning mode (aka fill the bowl half way with water, add dish soap and then set to cook at 100C on level 2 for 10 minutes. Once the time is up, then carefully take the lid off (with mitts because the bowl is hot), dump out the hot soapy water, rinse the bowl out and you are done.
