Free Grocery Shopping Printables to Help You Save!

Sharing is caring!

Looking for helpful printables to use to stay organized while grocery shopping?

Growing up I was in awe of how my mother could feed a family (with seven kids) on so little money. We always ate well and even had enough to give to other families in need. Oh, and she rarely ever used coupons. As I got older I learned that one of the keys to her success on frugal grocery shopping was being organized.

My mother had a binder with pages that she had filled out showing the base prices all of all our family’s favorite foods at each of our local stores (to show which store had the best prices for each item.) Each week, when the sale ads for those same stores would come out my mother would check those sale prices with her weekly menu and her (base price lists) and then would make up her weekly shopping list showing what items she wanted to get at which store.

Come shopping day we would usually go to 2 or 3 stores which took a couple of hours, but the results were worth it for we saved a ton of money on groceries allowing us to eat well on way less than our friends and neighbors. Following in my mother’s footsteps I have saved soo much myself as a college student living away from home, as a young married wife & mother and now with my family of 5.

For those wanting to be more organized with their grocery shopping in order to live more frugally, I have created these free printable Grocery Shopping Printables for you to make your own grocery binder!

The first Printable (and in my opinion the most important of the set) is your Grocery Store Base Prices printable. At the top of this printable fill in your top 4 stores that you want to shop at (if you don’t have 4 that’s ok) Next, in the left-hand column, you write down the main groceries your family eats (like milk, eggs, bread…) Finally (and this part will take you a bit of time) visit each of your listed stores and write down the non-sale price of each of your listed food items. Then with a highlighter mark which store has the best price for each item. This sheet will be your baseline to know where to shop as well as to judge sales.

The Second Printable is what you fill out each week when your grocery ads arrive. You fill it out just like your base prices sheet except this one is for that week’s sale prices for the foods you are interested in.

the Third sheet in this printable set is for your Menu.  With a spot for each day. Knowing what you want to make for meals each week will help you to know what specialty items you will need.

And The Fourth Sheet is your shopping list. This printable has 4 shopping lists per page. On the right side of the shopping list you put your grocery items and on the left-hand side is a small box where you put which store to get the item at.

Once the list is done see which stores you will be shopping at that week (depending on what you need to get you might only need to go to one store or you might visit all 4) make a plan on where to go first and set aside the time to do so. I know it seems like a lot of work, but it really isn’t so bad. And I guarantee its worth it if you really want to save money on your grocery bills.
