The Santa Box Movie Review
The Santa Box is a must-see Christmas Movie for the whole family!
If you know me then you know that Christmas is my favorite holiday. I love my family traditions, the yummy food, the beautiful decorations, and I really love music and movies.
I am actually guilty of watching Christmas movies all year long. My husband let me as long as do so on my laptop with headphones (he is strictly a day after Thanksgiving to New Years Christmas celebrator.)
So of course when I was invited to a pre-screening of The Santa Box a new Christmas movie filmed here in Utah (where I live) I was quick to say yes.

The Santa Box is a heartwarming Christmas tale of a young girl named Kallie who is not a fan of Christmas. Why? Because, for her, Christmas is a time of pain and loss.
When a fire causes Kallie and her mother to loose everything and move to a small town in California right before Christmas Kallie is convinced that Christmas is cursed.
Then she meets her neighbor, an old Jewish German that her other neighbors are convinced is a former Nazi. Because of this belief, the neighbors treat him horribly and are always looking for ways to get rid of him. Kalli who takes the time to actually get to know Otto comes to realize he is a wonderful man. She is humbled at the forgiveness, kindness, and understanding shown by her neighbor Otto in the face of his harsh treatment by her other neighbors.
Meanwhile, Kallie still struggles with adjusting to her new school. She is disgusted with how the popular kids treat the less fortunate students but is afraid to speak up for fear of being turned on.
Then one day a special box, the Santa Box appears on her front door. Thanks to the Santa Box Kalli is shown the magic of Christmas and the joy of giving to others in need. She gains the confidence to reach out to make real friends and find the healing she needs to find joy in the season.
This movie brought me to tears more than once and I can't wait to share it with my husband and children this Christmas season. It is a reminder of the true reason for the season and how one life can touch so many.
