The Winter Comfort Menu at Mimi's Cafe
Did you know that Mimi's Cafe has a limited time $10 Winter Comfort Menu?

One of the things I love about Mimi's Cafe is that in addition to their regular menu (which is pretty dang good) they often have special menus that are only available for limited time. Right now at Mimi's Cafe they just released a special $10 Winter Comfort Menu with 3 special dishes that are each only $10!
My husband and I were invited out to Mimi's to try out these limited time dishes a few days ago so I could share with all of you what we thought of them.
To start our evening off we enjoyed Mimi's their complimentary breadstick and raisen bread.
Since Mimi's Cafe wanted us to try out their whole Winter Comfort Menu (yes all 3 dishes) but there was only 2 of us we decided that we would each chose one dish and share the third.
My husband chose the Chicken Parmesan Sandwich (made with hand-breaded chicken breast, Pomodoro sauce, with mozzarella on toasted baguette and a choice of sides) This meal was the perfect choice for my husband. The bread was soft, the chicken was tender it was delightfully flavorful in a non-spicy way (which is a good thing because my husband cant handle really spicy food) and to top it off was light on the stomach. I stole a bite and have to say that I agree with my hubby it was super delicious.
I chose the Cajun Style Pasta ( made with Shrimp & Andouille Sausage tossed with basil an linguini in Pomodoro sauce) If you like your meal to have a kick then you will love this dish. I knew it would be spicy when I saw it was a Cajun pasta and I was not wrong. IT was just the kind of spice I love however for it wasn't just hot it was full of perfectly balanced flavors that made my taste buds stand up and take notice.
The third dish on the Winter Comfort menu which we got to share so we could try it out as well was a Winter Apple Grilled Chicken Salad (made with baby greens, feta, walnuts, apples, and dried cranberries in red wine vinaigrette.) To be honest I am not normally a fan of salads with fruit and nuts. However, I have to admit that this one was quite tasty. The chicken in it tasted amazing all the flavors actually balanced well with each other. For those who like nuts and fruits in salads, you'll love this dish.
All in all, I found the 3 Dishes each had a very distinctly different style and taste that fit each dish perfectly. I am sad that they will only be around for such a short time.
To finish off out delicious dinner we couldn't resist sharing a slice of French Slik Slab Pie. I had tried the petit version last time we ate at Mimi's Cafe and I had been craving some more.
You will want to hurry in for to try the Winter Comfort Dishes while you can, for they will only at Mimi's Cafe until February 6th.
