Top 5 Things to do at a Comic or FanX Convention
(I attended the Salt Lake Comic Con Convention via a Press Pass to facilitate this post. The views and opinions expressed are entirely my own. You can view my full disclosure here.)
Are you getting rady to attend a Comic or FanX Convention?

Have you ever been to a Comic or FanX Convention? If not you are missing out. Personally I had been to FanX event's before, however this was my first actual Comic Convention.
At the Salt Lake City Comic Convention 2017 there was soo much to see and do, that even though I came on all three days I wasnt able to do everything. I guess it just means I will have to come back.
If you are planning on going to your first such convention here are the top 5 things to enjoy!
People Watching
I have always loved to people watch but serious nothing compares to people watching at a Comic Convention. People go ALL-Out with their costumes at Comic & FanX Conventios.
There are even professional Cosplayers that attend. If you ask nice they will most often be awesome about posing with you for a quick photo.
Participate in the Cosply fun.
As fun as it is to people watch all the cosplayers it can be even more fun to dress up yourself. (after all when in Rome and all that.) There is even a fun Cosplay Contest. Who knows if you go all out you might even win!
If you decide not to dress up full cosplay, when you go, consider at least wearing your favorite geeky shirt. This is one place that it will be appriciated. We made out shirts using my Cricut Machine. I went with Harry Potter, My sister with Stargate and my husband with Zelda for our shirts.
Come Prepared to Buy Comics and other AWESOME artwork, clothes, books, games, accessories and more.
Seriously The Vendor Hall and Artist Alley at the Salt Lake Comic Convention was HUGE! Every where you turned there were more amazing things to buy. My favorite booths were the ones for the artists.
My husband was soo excited when he saw that the artist of one of his favorite chilhood comic books was going to be there so he brought a few of his favorite comics to get the signs.
Enjoy the panels
Panels are a fun way to get to know a Favorite Actor, write or Artist. Panels are a way to relax while being entertained by some amazing people. They are well worth the wait in line to get in to them.
Take advantage of the photo ops.
There are two kinds of photo ops available at Comic cons. Usually at every Comic con there are fun props, and backrounds where you can pose and take your own photos. (these are often free.) at the SLC comic con I just attended my favorite was the lifesize tardis phone booth.
There are also Celebrity Photo ops. These cost money but hey you get a photo with one of your favorite actors. If you want to cut cost on celebrity photo ops you can always sign up as a group and split the cost.
Like I said there are soo many things to see and do at FanX & Comic Conventions whether you are hardcore geek or just have a geeky streak. The SLC Convention also has a kid section with fun activities for you children to enjoy!
