How To Throw An Art Themed Birthday Party
Are you looking for ideas for throwing an Art themed Birthday Party?
This last weekend my daughter was soo excited to go to her cousin's Art Themed Birthday Party. I have to say as always my sister outdid herself and the party was a smashing success. Everyone had a wonderful time and I just have to share all the fun details with you in case you are looking for ideas on throwing your own Art themed birthday party.
To get all the girls in an artistic mood my sister got the "Today is Going to Be Awesome" Coloring page (that I have linked in my 30 Free adult coloring page post here) and had it printed as a Blueprint at her local copy center. She put it on a table with coloring pencils for the girls to color while waiting for everyone to arrive.
Next, it was time for the girls to decorate their own cupcakes. Each spot at the table had a paint tray (which you can get here)that held in the middle a white cupcake topped with white buttercream frosting. Then in each spot (that normally holds paint), she placed different kinds/colored sprinkles.
Once all the girls were done decoration their cupcakes it was time to sing to the birthday girl and enjoy their creations. My sister even thought to set aside cupcakes and sprinkles for the younger siblings/cousins who weren't part of the party to decorate in the kitchen and enjoy. (she is always thoughtful like that,)
After cleaning up the cupcake table my sister pulled out colorful art aprons (which you can get here) that she had customized using her Cricut (with permanent white vinyl) with the phrase"Be Creative". and it was time for the girls to paint their own canvases to take home. Using the same paint trays from the cupcake decorating she filled the spots with acrylic paint and pulled out her brushes and let the girls have fun.
I loved watching each girl's painting progress and to see the joy in what they were doing and their pride in what they created. I know my daughter couldn't wait to bring her's home to hang up in her room. Lastly, my niece opened her presents then handed out party favor bags that held a few small treats to go along with their art canvas and apron.
This was one of the more simple themed parties my sister has thrown but it was soo much fun. The party lasted 2 hours and everyone had such a great time they didn't want it to end.
