I am love with these Fall Leaf Paper Lanterns!
Fall is my favorite season of the year. I love everything about it. The cooler days making it easier to spend more time outside with the help of some stylish jackets, sweaters, hats, and boots. I love the food. I can practically taste all the yummy soups, stews, chilies and baked goods. Most of all I love the luscious Fall Colors. For my first Fall decoration this year I decided to pay homage to my beloved fall colors and changing leaves with fun Fall Leaf Paper Lanterns!
I have to say they turned out EXACTLY how I envisioned them. I tried to design them so that they would be easy to make and assemble no matter how experienced a crafter you are. Since I designed them in Cricut Design Space you won’t need to download the cut files and upload them in Design Space. You can just open my predesigned Canvas and click to make them.

Instructions
Open Design Space Canvas for the Fall Leaf Lanterns. --> HERE
Click to Make the Design.
Change the Mats for the Vellum from 12x12 to 8.5x11
Select Vellum as the Specialty material to cut and use the Light Grip Mat
After cutting remove carefully from the mat (by peeling the mat off the vellum so as not to bend or curl your material)
Next set your Maker to Medium 80lb Cardstock
Load your Scoring Wheel (**If you don't have a Scoring Wheel or the Maker then use the Scoring Tool in the Essential Tool Kit)
After Scoring Switch to the Fine Point Blade to cut each lantern and leaf.
After cutting use your Spatula from the essential toolkit to carefully remove the laters from the mat. and the weeding tool if you need help poking out any of the cutout spots.
Fold on the fold lines.
Using a glue stick carefully glue the Vellum panels to the inside of the cut Lantern windows. **I use the Scraper from the essential toolkit to carefully press down the vellum.
Take each leaf and gently curl the edges inward toward the scorelines. (I used my piercer from my paper crafting toolset to do this.) **There are 4 different sized leaves for each panel so I would sort them by size before curling them so you know which top leaf to glue to the base leaf on the lantern.
Using your gluestick glue down each leaf to its corresponding leaf on the lantern starting with the top leaf and working your way to the bottom. **Make sure the stem and main parts of each leaf are firmly glued down while allowing the edges to curl away from the lantern.
Glue the side tab *Carefully lining up the top and bottom edges.
Fold close the bottom and then place electronic Tea Light inside.

These Lanterns are so fun for your Fall decorations. I have mine on my Piano since I don’t have a mantle and I love how they look during the day as well as at night with the tea candles turned on.

I like that you included the "predesigned canvas", but it would be nice if you would have included the fact that it is going to cost $3 to purchase in Design space. I realize that this isn't a lot, & you put a lot of work into it. I just feel like that that should have been included in the post.

I am sorry for the oversite. I will make sure to mention in the future that for designs I make in design space I usually use Cricut access elements that may cost if you don't already have Cricut Access. When I make the design entirely myself I offer a free SVG cut file to download from my site and use.
