Homemade Copycat Butter Beer
Who wants to make some delicious Homemade Copycat Butter Beer?
If you are a Harry Potter Fan, you have probably fantasized about enjoying a nice chilled glass of Butter Beer. You can always buy a glass if you visit the Wizarding World of Harry Potter. My husband and I did on our last visit to Universal Holywood. It was so delicious, but it only made me want to learn how to make my own homemade Copycat Butter Beer at home to enjoy with the rest of my family.
Recently my children and I joined my younger sister and her kids celebrating Harry Potter's 40th birthday on July 31st. Of course, no Harry Potter party is complete without Butter Beer.
We looked up countless copy cat recipes online and in the end created our own recipe. My sister didn't have any butterscotch syrup (she isn't a huge butterscotch fan) so she used caramel and honestly her Butter Beer turned out tasting just like I remembered from Universal.
Homemade Copy Cat Butter Beer

Ingredients
- 3 Liters A&W Cream Soda
- ½ teaspoon Butter Extract
- 1 Cup Heavy Whipping Cream
- ¼ Cup Powder Sugar
- ¼-1/3 Cup Smucker's Caaramel Sauce
Instructions
- In a large bowl Whip up Heavy Whipping Cream with powder sugar and butter extract using an electric hand mixer until the cream has soft peaks
- Add Cream Soda into the bowl with whipped cream and gently mix
- Ladle in glass and drizzle caramel over the top.
This 5 ingredients homemade Copy Cat Butter Beer is super easy to make and really delicious. Seriously, it's the perfect treat for any Harry Potter fan.
