Books set in fantastic worlds where myth and reality intertwine. Books filled with action, adventure, and characters you can't help but connect to. Books that will have you aching to read just one more page and then another until the story is complete. Books that inspire and make reading fun.
Here are 6 amazing series that you and your children will love if you loved Harry Potter:

Percy and his newfound friends from Camp Halk Blood must go on an epic quest to save the world.
5 book series has action, adventure, young Heroes (and Heroines), proud arrogant gods, mythical monsters, and a dash of quick-witted humor. Trust me when you start this series you won't want to put it down until you finish it.

Percy Jackson and his friends are back in this sequel series along with great new characters you will quickly fall in love with. This is why the gods determined to keep their existence a secret from each other.
However, there is now a threat even greater than the Titans that could spell the end of the world, and Heroes (and Heroines) from both camps must come together to fulfill a long-ago prophesy. Of course, Percy finds himself right in the middle of it (though at the beginning of this series he doesn't even remember who he is. Heh Hem...Thanks, Hera or Juno...Whatever you want to be called.

Hall of Blood and Mercy Trilogy by K.M. Shea
Ok this is more of a (young adult) urban fantasy, but it is totally clean and by one of my favorite fairytale authors so I would recommend it to even pre-teens and teens to read (along with everything else she has written. Seriously an amazing Author.)
Follow the story of young Hazel, a wizard from the house Medias raised in the midwest town of Magiford where the supernational world of Vampires, Wizards, Werewolves, and Fae live together along with everyday humans.
Though her parents were very powerful, Hazel can barely access any power at all. When her parents unexpectedly die Hazel finds herself responsible for her house and family as the rightful house Adept. But those who feel she is unworthy of this honor and position stage a coup to force Hazel to give up her birthright and abandon those who rely on her.
With the assistance of those who she calls family, Hazel is able to escape to run for help. But all of her parent's allies turn their back on her denying her aid. In desperation, Hazel turns to the one person who her enemies fear. Really all the whole supernatural world fears. Killian Drake happens to be a powerful Vampire who already has enough on his hand's thanks to his feud .with the fae and someone killing off his people.
To the surprise of all Killian accepts Hazels' request for help. He offers her his protection in return for her magic sensing abilities. What comes next is quite the adventure filled with quick-witted humor, action, intrigue, and magic.
As natural enemies learn to set aside their prejudices and work together to defeat the real evil that stalks them from the shadows.
This 3 book trilogy will have you begging for more. So it is a good thing that the sequel trilogy (Court of Midnight and Deception) is already available and the author is working on another trilogy that takes place in the same urban fantasy world!
These books are available in Paperback, and Kindle formats. These books are also available on Kindle Unlimited!
