Are you looking for a fun book to read to your kids? Check out The Adventures of Rockford T. Honeypot.

I was recently given the opportunity of reviewing the Adventures of Rockford T. Honeypot by Josh Gottsegen --> Available on Amazon HERE <-- and I have to say that I loved it! Even more, my kids loved it.
Less than 1 chapter into reading this book out loud to my children my daughter empathically asked me, "Please, Please tell me this book is just 1 in a series! Tell me there is more!"

Rockford T. Honeypot is a famously successful chipmunk in Tropland. His company, Honeypot Inc owns all the green hut markets in Tropland. (He built the very first green hut market together with his wife. He is said to be mysterious and it is rumored that he had many a grand adventure in his life before disappearing altogether (though no one knows why).
The story opens with Rockford visiting Green Hut Market 39. The line to check out is long and due to some problem is temporarily at a standstill. To entertain his great-grandson Theo and fellow shoppers in line with him Rockford agrees to share his story.
Rockford never really fit in with his family of Clarences. He was a chipmunk with dreams of grandeur and adventure that was fostered by the stories of Captain James T. Rockford that his mother would share with him. However, despite his dreams, Rockford was very unlikely to ever set off on an adventure of his own. No, to do so he would have to get his paws dirty, which was something that terrified him. It was easier to sit and dream as he read his books than actually go on adventures himself.

That is until his home and family are taken away from him. In what was to this point the worst day of his life, Rockford decides to set off on his adventures after all. With a bag full of hazelnuts, his favorite paw soap, and an amethyst his mother had given him, Rockford set off on a journey that would change his very life.
In the course of Rockford's adventures he learned many things that would later revolutionize Tropland. He had great successes and failures. He faced death, but even more, he faced his own insecurities. He found and lost love more than once. And perhaps the great thing he discovered in all his roamings was himself.
We all have dreams, but like Rockford too often we find that we are too comfortable or scared to get out and reach for them. I hope in hearing this amazing tale my children learn that they have the power to reach for those dreams. That the hardest step is often that first one. That thought their journey won't always be easy it will be well worth it. That even though there will be heartache, and failure along the way, if they keep going there will also be triumphs, and joy too.

If you are looking for a great book to read to your kids that the whole family will enjoy, I highly recommend getting the Adventures of Rockford T. Honeypot. You can find it on Amazon --> HERE <--
