DIY Merry Christmas Buffalo Plaid Cocoa Cups made with a Cricut

Sharing is caring!

How cute are these Merry Christmas Buffalo Plaid Cocoa Cups?!?

I got these gorgeous red and black plaid insulated coffee cups from Oriental Trading for a fun Buffalo Plaid Family Christmas Party I threw this year (check it out here) When I saw these cups I thought of how cute they would look with a custom Christmas design in Iron-on on the front of them.  So I got an extra package to experiment with.

My daughter was particularly excited to help me make these custom Merry Christmas Cocoa Cups (since she loves both Christmas and Cocoa. I decided to use Iron-on over Vinyl for a few reasons. Firstly, I have has transfer tape ruin the finish on paper projects which problem I haven’t had when using iron-on. Secondly, the finished results of Iron-on on paper products is more of a profession embossed look rather than a sticker look that vinyl often has. And lastly, I like how easy the design was to weed and then to apply to the cup when using the Easypress Mini.

You can make these custom Merry Christmas cups right now using the tutorial below or pin it to your DIY Christmas Board to make at a later date.
