Have you ever dressed up a Popcorn Box?

My kids are Batty over the cute Bat Popcorn box I made today. I designed my popcorn box as part of a Popcorn Box Blog Party 2017 challenge hosted by Laura Kelly. She has organized this challenge for a few years, but it’s my first time joining, and I had a lot of fun! After my tutorial, check out all of the other great ideas from the other talented bloggers also participating in this Popcorn Box party and don’t forget to enter the fun giveaway at the end!

When I received my package with my popcorn box as well as goodies from the Popcorn Box party 2017 sponsors I had a lot of ideas for how I wanted to decorate my box. Since we are in October I totally wanted to do something Halloween style. In the end, I opted for an easy DIY since I was short on time due to heading out of town today with my family for a month-long travel adventure. Sometimes you just want something quick and cute. Am I right?

And so I designed this Quick and Easy Bat Popcorn Box. It took me less than 10 minutes to make with the aid of my Cricut Explore Air 2 and Cutting tool.
Materials needed
- 1 Popcorn Box (I got mine from World Market one of the sponsors for this year’s Popcorn Box Party)
- Cricut Explore Air 2
- Standard Cutting Mat
- Cricut Design Space (The Canvas for the wings)
- 2 sheets of 12×12 Black cardstock (I used some of the Cricut Black linen Cardstock that I had on hand from the Trick or Treat Banner I made just a bit ago (check out the tutorial here)
- 2 Googly Eyes (I got mine from Oriental Trading one of the sponsors for this year’s Popcorn Box Party)
- Glue Stick
- Cricut Essential Toolset
DIY Instructions:
- Take your popcorn box and trace one side on the back side of your black cardstock. then make 3 more copies (1 for each side of your box.)

- Using your cutting tool (or scissors) from the Cricut Essential Tool Kit cut the traced popcorn box sides out of the cardstock.

- Glue the black cut out cardstock to each side of the popcorn box.

- Cut out the Bat wings with your Cricut Cutting Machine (here is the Design Space Canvas for the wings) you will need the scoring tool to sore the wings for the flap what you glue to the box.

- Fold wings on the scoreline and glue to each side of your popcorn box.

- Glue on the googly eyes.
