It’s that time again! I’m teaming up with my favorite crafty bloggers to bring you 20 FREE 80s-themed SVG cut files for your Cricut crafting enjoyment. This month’s theme was an absolute blast to design because—let’s be real—I’m a child of the 80s, and taking this nostalgic trip down memory lane was pure fun.
For my design, I created a classic VHS tape featuring the iconic phrase: “Be Kind…Rewind.”

Our kids have it so easy with online streaming! They can skip to their favorite scene with a tap, restart a movie at the press of a button, or binge-watch an entire season without lifting a finger. But back in the day? It was a different story.
Growing up before the era of DVDs and streaming, VHS tapes ruled our home entertainment. And nothing was more frustrating than popping in a favorite movie only to realize the last person who watched it didn’t rewind it. So, instead of jumping straight into the action, you had to wait minutes (yes, actual minutes!) while the tape slowly whirred its way back to the beginning.
This simple act of common courtesy—rewinding the tape for the next person—was practically an unspoken rule of the 80s. Hence, the legendary reminder: Be Kind…Rewind.
