I am a firm believer that one should never come to a party or gathering empty handed. Especially not a Halloween Party!
So with Halloween parties and gathering coming up, I am in planning mode for what I want to bring. Last year for my kids Homeschool group Halloween party we made some adorable frosted Sugar cookies. They were a hit! After all the cookies were just as fun to look at as they were tasty to eat.
This year I have decided to make either cupcakes or treat bags. I like the idea of cupcake because I adore homemade goodies. You can’t go wrong with light fluffy cupcakes topped with creamy butter cream frosting. To really make the cupcakes scream fun Halloween treat, I designed these cute Halloween cupcake toppers with illustrations by my husband Rory Groves.
Treat bags are a great treat to bring to parties for a number of reasons. The biggest draw is that you can chose to fill your treat bag with whatever type of treats you want. You can fill them with Homemade treats (like a frosted cookies, rice krispy treats, caramel popcorn, chex mix), Pre-sealed candy (which is required for school treats and is also a good idea for parties where you may not know every parent.)and of course non food treats (which is great for those parties where you know there are kids who have food sensitivities.
To give the treat bags that exta touch of Halloween cuteness, I designed some cute Trick or Treat and Spookalicious Treat bag toppers (again with illustrations by my husband Rory Groves).
