Celebrate Jane Austen’s 250th Anniversary with this charming Regency-inspired paper doll featuring Elizabeth Bennet with four beautiful outfits.

This year, 2025, marks the 250th anniversary of Jane Austen’s birth — and as a lifelong admirer of her works, I couldn’t let this milestone pass without celebrating in a special way.
I’ve adored Jane Austen’s books for as long as I can remember. In fact, I still recall the very first time I opened Pride and Prejudice. I was about the same age my daughter is now, and from the very first pages I was enchanted. Elizabeth Bennet’s wit, Darcy’s quiet intensity, and the world Austen created captured my imagination in a way few books ever have.
Years later, while living overseas with my family, I even had the joy of visiting the Jane Austen Centre in Bath, England. Walking through the exhibits and stepping (quite literally) into Jane’s world was magical — an experience I will always treasure.
Even now, Pride and Prejudice remains one of my all-time favorite novels. And in honor of Jane Austen’s 250th anniversary, I’ve been having fun creating a few Austen-inspired projects. On my Etsy shop (thequietgrove.etsy.com), I’ve added some themed merch, and here on the blog I’ve shared a quiz to discover which Pride and Prejudice lady you are (if you haven’t taken it yet, take the quiz here!).
And now, I’m delighted to share something extra special: a free printable Elizabeth Bennet Paper Doll set for you to enjoy.
As a little girl, I absolutely loved paper dolls. I’d spend hours over at my friend’s house carefully switching out their outfits, inventing stories, and imagining them in all sorts of make-believe situations with my friends. There’s something timeless and charming about paper dolls, and I thought creating one inspired by Elizabeth Bennet would be the perfect nod to Jane Austen’s world.
This printable set includes:
- Elizabeth Bennet Paper Doll (in classic Regency undergarments)
- Four Outfits:
- An everyday gown for simple moments at Longbourn
- An afternoon tea dress, perfect for visiting friends or hosting at home
- A walking dress with a Spencer jacket (since Lizzy dearly loved her walks!)
- A ball gown with gloves and shoes, ready for a night of dancing and meeting Mr. Darcy
Each outfit fits perfectly over the doll with tabs, so you can print, cut, fold, and start playing right away.
To make your paper doll set last longer (especially if little hands will be enjoying it):
- Print on cardstock for extra durability.
- Add a layer of self-adhesive laminate over the top to make the doll and outfits sturdier.
- Store the pieces in a small folder or envelope so none of Elizabeth’s gowns go missing!
This Elizabeth Bennet Paper Doll set is completely free for you to enjoy as part of my Austen 250th anniversary celebration. It comes as a 9 Page PDF File with a Paper Doll, and 4 Outfits. In Both a Full Page and Half-Page sizes.
