Austen-Inspired Romance: Free Printable Pride and Prejudice Valentines

With Valentine’s Day right around the corner, I thought it would be fun to create something a little different this year—Free Printable Pride and Prejudice–themed Valentines that are equal parts romantic, witty, and just a bit cheeky.
I am a lifelong Jane Austen fan, and Pride and Prejudice has always held a special place in my heart. I love the novel, adore the film adaptations, and have an especially soft spot for the 1995 BBC version (honestly, it’s perfection). Last year’s celebration of Jane Austen’s 250th anniversary really sparked my creativity and inspired several Austen-themed projects here on the blog—like my Free Printable Elizabeth Bennet Paper Doll and the Which Pride and Prejudice Lady Are You? quiz. I even dipped into designing Jane Austen–inspired merchandise for my Etsy shop. Once I started, I just couldn’t bring myself to stop… which brings us to these Valentines.

For this set, I wanted to capture a true Regency-era feel. Each Valentine features a soft damask background paired with vintage-style Regency portraits inspired by how I imagine these beloved characters from the book. Once the look was settled, the most fun part began—choosing the sayings. I carefully matched each quote to the character’s personality, sneaking in a few inside jokes for fellow Austen fans who know the story well.
Honestly, I love how these turned out… so much so that I’m already tempted to design even more for other Pride and Prejudice characters. There are just too many good ones to choose from.
For now, this free printable set includes 9 Valentines, all formatted in a ready-to-print PDF. The featured characters are:
- Mr. Fitzwilliam Darcy – Against My Better judgement, I’ve fallen for you.
- Miss Elizabeth “Lizzy” Bennet – I delight in walking with you.
- Mr. Charles Bingley – I am happiest when persuaded by you.
- Miss Jane Bennet – I think only kindly of you.
- Lady Catherine de Bourgh -You are fortunate to have attracted my notice.
- Miss Lydia Bennet- I am excessively diverted by you.
- Mr. George Wickham – I assure you my intentions are honorable.
- Mr. Collins – You are more agreeable than an excellent boiled potato.
- Miss Charlotte Lucas – I am content with you. And that is no small thing.
