Non-Spoiler Godmothered Movie Review
Have you heard about Disney's Godmothered coming to Disney + on December 4th?

Recently I got to watch a special prescreening of Disney's Godmothered with my children and we LOVED it.
2020, has been incredibly hard for many and there is something about laughter that has the ability to dispel the darkness and bring in the light. If you are needing a good laugh, then Godmothered can provide it.

Godmothered is a comedy set at Christmastime. The movie centers around Eleanor, who is a young and inexperienced fairy godmother-in-training. Eleanor (Jillian Bell) has found out that the Godmother program is going to be closed down. People don't believe or need Godmother's in the classical sense anymore. This is demonstrated by the fact that no Godmothers have been sent on assignment in ages.
In her desperation to show that Godmothers are still needed Eleanor searches for an assignment that she can fulfill. She discovers a letter from a 10-year-old girl in need. Eleanor decides that even though she still hasn't finished her training, that desperate times call for desperate measures and she embarks on an unsanctioned assignment to track down this girl and help her find her happily ever after.

However, when Eleanor does track the girl Mackenzie down, she discovers that Mackenize is now a 40-year-old single mom (Isla Fisher) who is working at a news station in Boston. Mackenzie no longer believes in Happily Ever Afters, having lost her husband years before, and it is up to Eleanor to help her rediscover the magic before her time runs out.
We spent the first half of the movie laughing hysterically, only to then take turns sniffing back tears, and exclaiming in awe at the amazing messages found in the movie. Really, in the end, we all agreed that this movie is just what we needed for 2020.

I don't want to spoil the movie for you since you will be able to watch it soon yourself. However, I thought I would share a few of the powerful messages embodied in this timely movie, that I hope to enjoy throughout this holiday season again and again with my family.
1. Fairytales come in many shapes and sizes and that's ok.
2. What our children need the most is for us to love them and believe in them.
3. When we open ourselves to believing in our dreams we inspire others to do the same.
4. It is when we lose ourselves in loving and serving others, that we often truly find ourselves.
5. Don't be afraid to change and adapt.
6. Urban creatures have more attitude than woodland creatures. In case you are looking for a creature to help you around your house.
7. For my blogger/Influencer friends. All you need for job security is to make VIRAL videos.

So, this Friday night, pop some popcorn, grab some snacks, a drink, and a warm snuggly blanket, and get ready to watch Godmothered. It's a movie that will be a hit with your whole family!
