Homemade Pork and Shrimp Won Tons
Ingredients:
- Won Ton Wrappers
- ½ pound of Ground Pork
- ½ pound Shrimp - Cooked and Chopped Small
- 2 full stalks Green Onion - Finely ChoppedCo
- 8 Water Chesnuts - Finely Chopped
- 2 Garlic Cloves - Finely Chopped
- ½ teaspoon Ground Ginger
- 2 Tablespoons Soy Sauce
- 1 Package of Won Ton Wrappers
Directions:
- Finely chop and mix all the ingredients (except for the Won Ton Wrappers of course) together in a bowl.

- Place a scoop of the Won Ton mixture in the center of a wonton shell. (I like using a teaspoon for the right measurement.)
- Dip your finger in the small bowl of water, then run your finger across each of the Won Ton wrapper's sides
- Fold wrapper in half (forming a triangle) pressing the wet edges together to seal.
- Dip your finger in the bowl of water again, and wet each point of the wrapper. Then fold the point toward the center. (wonton will look like a folded envelope.
Now it's time to cook the Won Tons
- Heat your vegetable oil to 375° (in your deep fryer)

because I can fill my frying basket with my food than lower it into the oil (while placing down the lid so I dont get splattered.
- Cook for 3 minutes or until light golden brown
- When the food is cooked. I then just lift the deep fryer basket out of the oil. Tap it a few times to get off the excess oil and dump the Won Tons onto a plate with a double folded paper towel (which help with any extra oil still on the Won Tons.
- Let cool just a smidge. Serve and Enjoy!
Did you know you can Freeze Won Tons for Later?
- Follow the instructions above, then after frying pat off any extra oil with a paper towel.
- Place single layer on a cookie sheet and then put in freezer for 1 hour.
- Download into a freezer ziplock and put back in freezer.
- When you want to heat up, just place on cookie sheet (I always line mine with Parchment Paper
) and bake in the oven at 350° until rich golden brown
- Serve and Enjoy!!
