The Newair 80 Qt Electric Cooler The Ultimate Camping Cooler!

School is out and the Summer has arrived. For us, that means picnics in the park, hikes up the canyon, camping, and road trips. For all of these fun summer activities, we like to bring a cooler in our trunk filled with cold food, drinks, and treats. Nothing is better on a hot summer day than something cool and refreshing.
Usually, this also means taking a trip to the store to get 10+ pounds of ice to go in the coolers. Ice in the cooler means less room for food and drinks, but what can you do about that? Nothing, if you have a traditional cooler. This is why I started researching electric coolers. As soon as I saw this cooler, I knew I had to convince my husband that we needed to have it. It has all the features yall!! First of all, it is large enough to hold our food for a multi-day campout. It is an 80 qt cooler (or in other terms 20 gallons).
The cooler is divided into 2 compartments. 1 compartment is 35 quarts and the other is 45 quarts with baskets to make it easier to store your food/drinks in the cooler.
You can set the temperature to your preference between -4° to 68°. Best of all you can set different temperatures for each side. This means you could use one side as a fridge and the other as a freezer. How awesome is that?!?
Now you might say, that's nice but it's an electric cooler. That means it only works if it is plugged in. That is true, but guess what? You can plug this cooler into a wall outlet, car outlet, portable battery, and even solar panel. Yes it comes with all the cords to easily hook up to any of these power sources. Making it easy to use on the go.
The compressor in the cooler is quiet yet powerful and even has 2 settings. Max which is the fast cooling mode (which is great for when plugged into a wall outlet) and Eco which is the economical mode (which is great for when plugged into a car outlet, portable battery, or solar panel where you don't want to drain the power to fast.)
This cooler is ruggedly built for outdoor use. In addition to handles on both sides to make it easy to carry, the cooler also has two off-roading wheels on one side which work well on gravel, grass, dirt, and pavements. This means you can pull your cooler as well.
To help with pulling the cooler, it comes with an extendable handle that locks into place when fully extended as well as when it is compressed back into the cooler.
You can easily remove the weather-proofed doors to switch the direction that they open so it is easy and convenient to get into no matter where you have it stored!
When it comes time to clean out your cooler, there is a convenient drain on both sides of the cooler. Then just use a set washcloth to wipe the cooler out and you are done. Seriously, I am in freaking love with our cooler. I love that I can actually enjoy frozen goods while camping or on the go.
I love that it hooks up just as easily to a wall as to the car as well as my solar panel and backup external battery. The cooler even has a USB port so you can charge a small device like your phone or tablet at the same time.
I love how much food, drinks, and treats it can hold at once. And yes I love that it is strong and durable so that I can safely sit on it like a bench (can I say multi-purpose??) It is well worth the price and I expect to be able to use it for years to come.

Does the cooler always have to be plugged into something? Is there time when it doesn’t? How long does it stay cold if it isn’t plugged in?
It does need to be plugged in which is why it is nice that there are soo many option to use including portable batteries. It stays col dor a while after unplugged if you don't open it, but I haven't timed it or anything.
