In case of an Emergency, are you prepared for whatever life might come your way while you are traveling?
As you excitedly plan your next big trip, and pack the necessities of swimsuit, sunscreen, shorts and sandals, as you enjoy the sun and sand, the last thing that you want to worry about is the worst case scenarios (or WCS, for short). Especially since the only thing that you want to worry about is having fun, and maybe how to treat that sunburn. However, the worst thing if you are out in the middle of nowhere when something bad might happen, be it an ATV rolling over on you, experience a freak snowstorm in a tropical region, a phone battery dying in a country where you don’t speak the language or getting lost in a dark cavern (all of which we have had to experience first hand). The most important thing, to quote Louis Pasteur “Fortune favors the well-prepared”. Here is a list of things that can help you prepare for whatever life may throw your way while you are enjoying some well-earned rest and relaxation.
1. First Aid Kit
That old saying of what can go wrong usually can go wrong, especially when you are far from home. Regardless if it is a sprain, cut, broken nail, headache or whatever. Be sure to pack to ensure that no small accident becomes life threatening. Simply a must have.

3. Flashlights
No matter where you are, night always comes, so don’t let yourself be caught in the dark. The sun sets fast when you are having fun, and have to hike back to your vehicle, or exploring a dark cave. Also, consider getting a hands-free headband light for when you need to either carry stuff or use both hands to brace yourself steep pathways.

4. Portable Battery Charger
The worst thing that could possibly happen to you is needing something whether it is to make a call or look up if that leaf is poison ivy, and finding that your phone battery has died with no means to plug in and charge it. So no matter where you go regardless if your phone holds a charge for a long time, always keep an extra charged battery charger handy in your backpack or carry on.

5. Sewing Kit
This might seem odd, considering if you just bought a new summer wardrobe, but if you have kids or are accident prone, the last thing you want to worry about is a wardrobe malfunction, from either a missing button on your shorts or a broken seam on a swimsuit.

6. Screwdriver Kit
We all can’t live without our electronics even if it’s on vacation (or on holiday, if you are from the UK). The last thing you want to experience is not having a way to fix your device if say something bad happened.

7. Multi-Tool Set
This might seem a little repetitive, considering many have a screwdriver included, but life favors the well prepared. Whether you need to cut off a loose thread or tighten the wheels on your luggage. The multi-tool can fix a multitude of problems that may arise.

8. Gloves
Who would carry work gloves, when you are only planning on playing, not working? You never know if you have to move big or heavy objects, such as firewood for the campfire or more likely your wife’s luggage. Save yourself from some blistered hands.
