What Snacks Should I Pack For Disney Parks

Sharing is caring!

Did you know that you can bring your own food into Disney Parks?

Now you might ask, why you should even bother packing your snacks? After all, Disney is famous for its delicious themed foods and treats. This is true. Disney treats are amazing, and I highly recommend that you make sure to indulge in a few during your Disney Parks vacation. However, be aware that Disney treats can easily add up in price. In addition to the cost of the treats, it takes time (that you could be spending in line or on a ride) to get them. This brings us back to why you should bring your own snacks with you.

Bringing your own snacks with you to the park can save you a lot of time and money. It also allows you to enjoy the snacks while waiting in line for rides which can distract your kiddos during that time and keep everyone happy. For as any parent knows, you do not want to be dealing with hangry kids while at a theme park.

Now that we have established why it is a good idea to bring your own snacks with you to your Disney Park vacation, the next question is what sort of snacks should you bring? And what should you carry your snacks in?

Before we talk about what kind of food you can bring into a Disney Park let’s briefly talk about what you cannot bring:

  • No Alchohol
  • No Glass containers (excluding small containers like baby food)
  • No Food that requires heating, reheating, processing or refrigeration.
  • No Food that has pungent odors
  • Loose or Dry Ice
  • Marijuana or Marijuana enriched products.

Ok, now let’s talk about what kind of drinks and snacks are good to bring!

While you can bring a cooler, with you into Disney parks they do have rules about what kind of cooler is allowed. For example, your cooler has to be small (like the size of a 6 pack) with soft sides and a reusable ice pack. However, let’s be honest. Unless you have a stroller that has a place for you to put your small cooler (as well as your little kids) it’s will become very annoying trying to lug your cooler around with you through the Parks.

Instead, I would recommend just bringing a small backpack to carry your snacks, drink, and other Disney must-haves in for each member of the family (even kids can carry a small kid-sized backpack or fanny pack). The best snacks to pack are ones that don’t need to be kept cold, are not messy, don’t take up a lot of room, and won’t get smashed too easily.

Here is a list of great snacks to bring with you to Disney Parks to enjoy between meals and official Disney Park treats:

What should you bring to Drink:

The best drinks to bring are ones that won’t need to be kept cold. Though if you really want a cold drink, you can get a free cup of ice at most quick-service restaurants that you can then pour your drink into.

  • Water
  • Water + Drink mix (individual serving powder drink mixes are easy to bring with you to turn your ordinary water into a fun flavorful drink. My kids love crystallite, country time lemonade & Koolaid mix-ins)
  • Water + Liquid IV (multiple the hydration of your water, while getting a boost in vitamins and minerals with Liquid IV. Best of all it comes in some really yummy flavors! Use my code TheQuietGrove25 to save 25% off + free shipping)
  • Sports Drinks These drinks are yummy and help keep your electrolytes up.
  • Soda You can bring soda with you but just know, that soda doesn’t do well when hot, and drinking too much of it will cause you to be dehydrated.

What should I bring for Snacks:

If you are looking for easy snacks I would recommend just getting individually wrapped snacks. If you are looking to save money I would get a variety of snacks in bulk and download them into snack-sized zip locks. You can get these snacks at any local grocery store or order them online and bring them with you from home.

  • Veggies (like cut-up carrots, celery, & sugar snap peas)
  • Nuts & Seeds (like Almonds, Cashews, Peanuts, Sunflower Seeds, Pumpkin Seeds…)
  • Beef Jerky/ Beef Sticks
  • Raisins/craisins
  • Apple Sauce Pouches
  • Fruit snacks
  • Fruit Leather
  • GoldFish (you can even get Mickey GoldFish now!)
  • Vanilla Wafers
  • Mini Oreos
  • Mini Chips Ahoy Cookies
  • Cheese Nips
  • Chewey Granola Bars
  • Cliff/Cliff Kids Bars

I would recommend bringing a variety of snacks. Some with protein, some healthy and some that are just pure treats. Honestyle, doing this has helped us cut down on food expences a lot on our trips. It also helps you and your kids from getting hangry or from burning out as you explore the Parks.
