Why I Dare to be a Dreamer in a World that Doesn't Believe in Dreams Anymore.
My husband and I have been told that realistically dreams don't come true. That we just needed to grow up and face reality.

Sadly we have seen this belief accepted by way too many friends, family and acquaintances. This whole live for now, accept what you get, stop wanting ...MORE. Dreams don't come true. At least not for everyday people like us.
Here's the thing. We just don't believe this. We can't believe this. We REFUSE to ever believe this false truth!
Dreams do come true. Every day. For those who believe and fight for their dreams. And we believe in our dreams. Our dreams are what make our life worth living. Our dreams are what have shaped us into who we are today and what we will become. Our dreams are our north star. That doesn't mean our path is easy. Far from it. There have even been times we have been moments away from giving up . But when our fears rise up we tell them to take a hike.
“There is only one thing that makes a dream impossible to achieve: the fear of failure.” ― Paulo Coelho, The Alchemist
What Are Our Dreams?
It isn't easy for me to share our dreams. They have been scoffed at and belittled by too many who were close to us. However I will endeavor to try. It would take longer than this blog to tell you all of them but I will share a part with you:
Family is very important to both my husband and I . We dreamed for years of finding our other half (YES this dream has come true..Whoot Whoot!!) and become parents. Not just parents, but great parents. We want our children to trust us, and look up to us. We want to raise our children up in the ways of the Lord, to be good Christians, and to reach their highest potential.
How Are We Doing This Dream?
First we had to have kids. (wink, wink) Now that we have 3 crazy wonderful kids, I have to admit that we spend a lot of time on our knees in prayer seeking guidance, patience, love, understanding, and wisdom in regards to raising them. I know that I at least make tons of mistakes, I am constantly studying and learning how to be a better parent. I think the biggest thing is that we are doing our best and just don't give up.
What Else Do We Dream About?
We dream of becoming successful entrepreneurs. We dream of financially reach the point where we can cut back our hours of work and spend more time with our children, travel the world, and serve lots of people.
I have my family lifestyle blog (TheQuietGrove.Com) which I dream of getting to the point where I have 1 mil+ monthly views. (I would love to be helpful to that many people).
I also have a Etsy Store where I sell a variety of Digital Files for Birthday Invitations, Baby Announcements, Baby Shower Invitations, Bridal Shower Invitations, Coordinating Party Printables to take your party to the next level (ie.Water Bottle Wraps, Cupcake Toppers, Candy Bar Wraps, Banners and more) as well as Home Decor, Pop Art, Children and Nursery Digital Wall Art to Print and use! I dream of becoming one of the top 10 selling Etsy stores.
My husband who owns his own business (doing Graphic Designs and illustrations), is working to launch in the next few weeks his own webcomic (which has been his dream for years) and is finishing up 2 different game apps as well as a card game that he is going to be launching a kickstarter for in the next month.
He dreams of someday having his comic "Oh, Grow Up" syndicated, his kickstarter successfully funded, his game in all the major stores & his apps on the top of the charts for reviews and sales.
How are we Doing our Dream?
Right now we put in crazy hours of hard work. This isn't always easy since we also have 3 children (ages 1,3,&5) that we are also taking care of as well as our home, garden, and chickens (we are big believers of provident living).
We start and end each day with prayer for help to be inspired, to be able to have faith not fear, to have wisdom and to have the Lord bless our work.
We have had to learn a lot of new skills and perfect old ones. We have had to study and learn how to network, utilize social media (still working on that one) to get our work out there, and overcome lots of obstacles in our work.
We have had to make many sacrifices to fight for this dream but know that it will all be worth it.
“Dare to live the life you have dreamed for yourself. Go forward and make your dreams come true.” ― Ralph Waldo Emerson
Though the culmination of our dreams may be a long way down the road, we have come to learn that we can live and do our dreams now! Really that is the only way we will eventually obtain all we desire. Dream and Do TODAY! That's the only way!

Yey, a fellow dreamer! Keep reaching for those dreams!
Having a dream is one thing, but making it into a reality is an amazing feeling!
Yes it is!
I love this. I think dreaming is a good thing, and I think if we dream it - we can do it so keep on dreaming!
Yes, if you can dream it you can do it. It just takes, Time, Work, and not giving up!
I believe in dreams too. Sounds like you're doing everything in your power to make yours a reality. That's awesome! Thank you for sharing!
I'm glad you liked the post! Keep believing in your dreams.
Thank you! I really will. It's always a nice reminder to hear it from someone else.
I agree, There are soo many who are quick to tell you how crazy you are. Its nice to hear from those who believe in you.
I think keeping dreams alive is SO important for our own selves! Dreaming is good for the soul!
Agreed. When we stop dreaming we stop living!
Dreams work when we set a goal. It will not happen right away but it will when you stay focus and positive. I dream of visiting the USA when I was little. It happened and so happy.
So true. Dreams take time work, and perseverance to come true. Glad you made your dream of coming to the USA. Hope your other dreams come true as well.
I am a dreamer, too. So glad to hear that you made your dream come true.
Thanks. I am always happy when on eof my dreams come to fruition. It inspired me to keep working on my other dreams.
This is a great post. I was on the verge of giving up on my dreams. However, your post shows me that dreams do come true.
DONT GIVE UP!! You can do it! Just hang in there and keep working toward your dreams. you will make it!
It is good to have dreams. To act upon them is even better.
I totally agree!
I think it is important to have dreams even if no one else believes in them.
I totally agree! our dreams are what make us who we are..
A;ways good to dream. Life i good when we do.
You stop living and merely start existing when you stop dreaming.
I'm a dreamer, too. I will be until the day I die.
Glad to here that!
From one dreamer to another, I say DREAM ON! 🙂 Great post.
Awwww thanks. Same back to you!
Screw being realistic. It's just another way of telling you to conform. Be you and follow your instincts.
We all have the power to achieve our dreams if we will but fight for them.
OUR Dreams makes us to grow more. Thanks for sharing your own dreams to the world!
You are welcome. As we claim our dreams we give permission for others to do the same.
I love that you include the word sacrifice in the same sentence as dreams! Hard work and sacrifices do make dreams come true!
Thanks. I really believe that dedication and sacrifice are key ingredients to making your dreams come true.
I am so happy for you that you made your dream come true. I think we are all dreamers and dreaming is good.
I believe we are all dreamers deep down. The tragedy is in how many stop believing in them. For when we stop believing in our dreams we stop living.
I actually am living my dream now that my daughter has joined me on the blog. We're partners and growing the business together!
That is awesome! I was my mother's partner for years. Sooo happy for you
My dreams are all new now. I don't know what direction they'll take me but I do know I'm ready for them.
That is the fun part seeing where your dreams will treat you.
We can achieve our dreams if we are determined and doesn't care what other people say as long as we do not bother them. I would say to heck with the haters and go for that dreams.
Amen. I totally agree.
I totally believe in dreaming still. It brings me goals that I want to accomplish.
I agree. Our dreams are what lead us to who we will become.
My dream is for my children to grow up to be happy. Not doctors, financially successful, college grads or anything like that. I just want them to be HAPPY with their chosen path, no matter what that is.
What a beautiful dream. I am sure that they can feel the love from you that that dream was born from.
Beautiful post and beautiful dream. 🙂 Thank you for sharing this so openly.
Thanks. I think it is important to share our dreams with others. When we in a way give permission for others to reach for their dreams as well.
NICE
