I am a nut for classic old movies
When I think of the old classics my mind is filled with images of actors and actresses who could sing, dance, and act. They all had a glamour and grace not found in most of their modern counterparts. I think of the masculine charm of Carey Grant, The flirty fun of Danny Kaye. I think of the romantic grace of Fred Astaire as he twirled lady after lady across the dance floor. I think of the bold charm of June Allyson, Katharine Hepburn, and Elizabeth Taylor. I think of the gentle elegance of Audrey Hepburn and Grace Kelly (who would become the Princess of Monaco), and I think of the playfulness of Ginger Rogers and Doris Day.
[Tweet "I got more romantic notions watching those old classic movies than I ever did from fairy tales."]
While Netflix and Amazon Prime do have an ok collection of old movies, I wish they had more of the really good ones to stream (though Amazon does have a lot of them for sale). If you are on the hunt for some of the great old movies to enjoy, you can try checking your local library. Growing up I was always checking out old movies from our local library to watch on weekends. Yeah our library had a killer old movie collection. These days I am most often guilty of hunting for old classics on youtube to watch. You can actually find quite a few if you know what to look for.
Another option to check is VidAngel. They often have many movies not available to stream on Amazon or Netflix (You can stream a movie for just $1 and even use filters so you dont have to watch undesirable content.) Check Out VidAngel HERE
Anyways, I can't tell you how often I am asked for old movie recommendations by my friends and family (since they know how much of an old movie nut I am) So, in response, I have compiled this list of 100+ of the best old movies of all time for their enjoyment and yours. This way when you are next hankering for a good old classic movie to watch, just look through the list for inspiration. (I have even thrown in a few clips and trailers to showcase how awesome these movies really are.)
