As we approach the new school year, many parents are seriously concerned about sending their children back to school. The safety measures school districts are speaking about enforcing for the health of our kids and teachers seem unrealistic.
Additionally many wonder how long before schools shut down again and move to distance learning like last spring. While distance learning worked for some, for most it was frustrating, overwhelming, and quite frankly, and left much wanting.
And so many parents are looking at the option they never seriously considered before. That of fully homeschooling their children. Only now that they have decided on this course they don't know how to go about doing it or where to start.
It's not a secret that I was homeschooled and am currently homeschooling my children. I even have a couple of homeschool resources here on my site for parents. Because of this, I have had soo many people in recent weeks reach out to me asking about homeschooling.
Likewise, my mother has been a strong presence in the homeschooling community for decades (not only did she homeschool most of her 7 children, but she also created her own Homeschool Curriculum. She has spoken at homeschool conferences across the country and has privately mentored many parents over the years)
We decided to work together to write a book about how to set up a successful homeschool. Covering topics like how to find the legal requires to homeschool in your state, how to choose the right homeschool curriculum for your family, and addressing social needs.
