These DIY Animal Valentine Cupcake Toppers only take minutes to make with your Cricut!
Now I will be honest, I do love to do intricate projects that test the abilities of my Cricut machines and my skill as a crafter. However, I also love those quick and easy projects that only take minutes to make but have lots of wow factor. Today I am teaming up with Cricut to share with you the tutorial for these adorable Animal Valentine Cupcake Toppers, which are sooo easy to make that anyone can make them with a Cricut using their Print & Cut technology.
I designed these fun cupcake toppers using Valentine Images in Cricut Access that I layered with a shape also found in Cricut Access. They are sized just over 2 inches wide which is my preferred size for a cupcake topper (though you can adjust the size to bigger or smaller if you want (you know in case you are making mini or extra big cupcakes.)
Each cupcake topper features an adorable illustrated animal holding a pink heart. There are 10 cupcake toppers in all with the following animals: Fox, Cat, Dog, Racoon, Bunny, Lion, Monkey, Pig, Tiger & Hippo. I decided to make half the backgrounds white and the other half dark pink to give them some variety for aesthetic looks. I paired the white-backed toppers with chocolate cupcakes topped with dark red frosting. And I paired the dark pink backed toppers with white cupcakes topped with light pink frosting.
Like I said this is a fun and easy beginner project that can be made in just minutes and will add that perfect touch to your kid’s upcoming Valentine’s Day Party. DIY Animal Valentine Cupcake Toppers
In less then 5 minutes you can make these fun and adorable Animal Valentine Cupcake Toppers using Cricut's Print & Cut feature with your Cricut Explore Air 2! This is an easy project anyone can make and are perfect for your upcoming Valentine Party!
Materials
- White 8.5x11 Cardstock
- Toothpicks
- Tape
Tools
Instructions
- Open Cricut Design Space Canvas for Cupcake Toppers --> HERE
Click to make and send it to your local Inkjet Printer.
Place Printed Cardstock onto Standard Grip Mat and load into your Cricut.
Set dial on Explore Air unit to Cardstock and Cut.
After cutting peel the mat from cut Cardstock.
Tape Cupcake Toppers to Toothpicks.
Stick into the top of frosted cupcakes.
