Our Suite Experience at the Holiday Inn at Buena Park
This visit was Hosted by The Holiday Inn and Visit Buena Park Tourism. However, the views and opinions expressed are entirely my own. You can read my full disclosure here.)
Have you ever stayed at a Holiday Inn?
This last weekend was our first time staying at a Holiday Inn during our family visit to Buena Park, California. This was also our first time staying in a suite at a hotel. Our first impression when we opened our hotel suite door was, "Wow look at all the space!"
Because my kids are all young, we have to stay in the same room when traveling. Thankfully here in the US it is easy to find double bedrooms perfect for family travel. However, there is no question that we are often in close quarters with the 5 of us in one standard hotel room. This was not the case with our suite at the Holiday Inn. Our suite was soo roomy that even with the extra pull out bed there was plenty of space.
Other things I loved about our suite:
- The large desk with multiple plug sockets and mirror
- The Lap desk (which allowed me to work on our bed while my husband claimed the desk)
- the uber comfy beds
- The Fridge, Coffee Maker & Microwave which I always love when traveling with kids chill/reheat food.
- The sitting area (where the kids loved to lounge in while watching some of their fav shows on the large tv.)
- The bathtub/shower that had two shower heads the main shower head and a mobile one (which was great for washing my kid's hair while they bathed and for reaching those hard to reach places while showering.)
- The Iron and Ironing Board (which I totally used)
(psssst. The Picture above is why I have to unplug my phones whenever staying at hotels with my kids.) Our room overlooked their gorgeous outdoor heated pool, that is next to an elegant courtyard that includes seer shaded seating areas including a large pergola.
Since my husband and I work while we travel having Highspeed internet is always a must wherever we go and I loved how the Holiday Inn had this not only in our room but throughout their hotel. They also have a business center, next to an ATM machine (for those who need to pull out extra cash while traveling.
Lastly, they had a convenient table in their main area with plugs to charge your phone and laptop (probably because our hotel is also a conference center.
We took advantage of their shuttle service to go to Knotts Berry Farm during our visit which allowed us to not have to worry about paying for parking. Our drive used to be a School Bus driver so he had plenty of patience and experience dealing with kids. I love how he even had a little step stool he pulled our to help our kids up into the Van since it was too high off the ground for my kids (who are 3, 5 & 7) to easily get up into on their own.
We didn't eat at their in hotel restaurant during our stay but I looked at their prices and menu and was quite tempted to (we were just often out during meal times. I do like that kids eat FREE. I will have to try it out next time we stay here.
All in all we loved out stay at the Holiday Inn Hotel and Conference Center in Buena Park California. We only wish our stay was longer.
