Partnering with Uplift Families
(I am writing this post as part of my role as a blog partner of Uplift Families, but the views and opinions are as always my own.)
A few weeks ago when I learned that Uplift Families was looking to partner with a few Utah Bloggers I couldn't apply fast enough.
I believe in the role of families. I believe that families are ordained of God, and that they are the core unit of society. As President Lyndon B. Johnson once said
“The family is the cornerstone of our society. More than any other force it shapes the attitude, the hopes, the ambitions, and the values of the child. And when the family collapses it is the children that are usually damaged. When it happens on a massive scale the community itself is crippled.”
My husband can attest to how excited I was when I learned that I was going to be one of the blogger partners.
The first thing I got to do as a partner with Uplift Families was attend a special luncheon at the Governors Mansion to meet the other blogger partners, the First Lady of Utah, and learn more about her amazing initiative that I was going to be able to help promote.
I can't tell you how many time I have walked or driven by the Governors Mansion and wondered what it would be like to go inside. Never in a million years did I think that would ever happen. Before the Luncheon started I was given the opportunity to mingle with he other bloggers (wow, what an amazing bunch of ladies!) and explore. We were allowed to go everywhere but the second floor which was the private living quarters of the Governor's Family. It was a real treat.
During the luncheon we learned more about the Uplift Families Initiative their 3 fold mission:
1. strengthen parent-child relationships
2. provide tools and resources that improve parenting skills
3. help children make safe and healthy choices,
I must say that the more I have learned, the more excited I am to be a part of this. Stay tuned for I will be sharing more about Uplift Families including their amazing Parenting Conference that I will be participating with next month. I hope to see you there! It is going to be AMAZING!!

I really am. and what better topic then strengthening families?
Thanks for sharing this post. I am in Utah, a new blogger and have been looking for a platform to get involved in. A few weeks ago on a walk...I realized I wanted to help Strengthen my home and family as a passion. As a mom of 5 boys...I found myself really overwhelmed with life. I have started a journey of self discovery, that involves a spiritual, mental and physical overhaul. It has been life changing. A week or so ago I hear of Uplift families. I am going to come to the event on the 19th. I want to get involved and make a difference. The difference can be in my own home and this is enough. I hope to meet up with you.
Becky,
Your blog is sooo cute! As you can see my blog is new too. We new bloggers should stick together. lol. I will totally have to try out that recipe for those Grilled Cajun Chicken Thighs!
Strengthening families is a big part of why I started my blog as well. I only have 3 kids 2 boys and a girl who I love t pieces. I am always looking for ways to be a better parent. I know that I fail too often, but I figure as long as I they know I love them and I keep trying to do/be my best they will turn out well. My hats off to you having 5 boys!
Yes we should totally meet up at the Parenting Conference! Are you going with your Husband?
Awe, that looks like such an amazing organization! There's no greater feeling than giving back 🙂
It really is. They have pulled together some amazing resources to help parents and families. You should check out their site UpliftFamilies.Org
Such a great opportunity with such a wonderful initiative .More focus needs to be on the family, so I'll be following this .
I am glad you feel that way. We all can do something to help lift others and bless families. Check out the Parenting COnference they are holding at Thanksgiving Point in September. It is going to be amazing. I will write more about it soon!
What an honour and privilege - one that you will be fantastic at doing! All the best to you and your new partners! Namaste
Thanks soo much Claudette! It really is an honor and privilege to work with anyone who works to strengthen families. I think it is sooo needed in the world today.
Interesting concept. Enjoy! 😉
Thanks I will! Thanks for stopping by.
This is very good project you run, I support you
I wish I was running it....No wait I really don't. I have my hands full with my business and my 3 little kids. But I am glad I can help support uplift Families with their mission.
Congrats for being one of the blogger partners! Sounds like a great project with great missions
Thanks! I am soo glad to have this opportunity. Helping parents and strengthening families was one of the reasons I started my blog in the first place.
This is such a delight. We should really invest time on improving our relationship with the people we are closes to -- our family!
We really should we were given our families for a reason. But just because our family is good, doesn't mean we don't struggle with aspects of them from time to time. We all can use some great resources to help us when we hit rough patches.
Sounds like a fantastic project to be a part of, and what a beautiful building!
It really is. I am so excited to work with them to help strengthen families.
Great cause! Great project. Hope this can go bigger!
Me too. They have some amazing resources on their site UpliftFamilies.Org and their Annual Parenting Conference looks like it will be great! They even have a Youtube Chanel.
It must have been so exciting to get a glimpse of how the Governors Mansion looks like from the inside.
It really was. I love history, architecture, and fine craftsman ship and the Governors Mansion was a prime example of all three.
This is a great cause! Sounds like a great project. Love the pictures!
Thanks. I am excited to work with such a great organization.
I love that you're blogging for a cause! Your support and enthusiasm will surely help this organization reach higher heights! Good luck to you.
Thanks, I hope so.
