Christmas Cake Muddy Buddies are easy to make and addictingly delicious.
Ok, so my family adores muddy buddies. Because of this, we have experimented with many recipes and versions over the years. This is one of our all-time favorites. Best of all it’s quick and easy to make with my kids.
We love making these muddy buddies for parties, get togethers and lately to just enjoy as a family during family movies and game nights. I think next time I make these I am going to have to make a double batch since they disappear so quickly.
Christmas Cake Muddy Buddies
These delicious Christma Cake Muddy Buddies only take minutes to make and are soo delicious they will be eaten before you know it.
Ingredients
- 5 Cups Rice Chex
- 1 3/4 Cup White Chocolate Candy Melts
- Red and Green Sugar Sprinkles
- 3/4 Cup White Cake Mix
- 1/4 Cup Powder Sugar
- 2 cups Red & Green M&Ms
Instructions
Measure Rice Chex into a large Bowl
Put cake mix & powder sugar in Gallon Ziplock
Melt White Chocolate
Pour over the Rice Chex and stir carefully (so as not to smush the Chex) until cereal is fully coated.
LIberally pour sprinkles over the cereal and mix in. (make sure you pour in plenty so they show up on the chex through the cake/powder sure coating)
Pour cereal mixture into ziplock with the cake mix and powder sugar
Shake in a bag until the cereal is fully coated.
Pour onto a cookie sheet to cool and add M&Ms
Serve on a platter or in a bowl.
Notes
If you don't have a double boiler to melt your chocolate melts you can do it in the microwave. To do so put chocolate in a plastic bowl and place it in the microwave for 30 seconds. Stir and then put back in for 20 seconds then stir again. Repete this progress until the chocolate is fully melted.
I used original and peanut butter M&M’s since those are ur family favorites, but Peanut or mint would taste great with this recipe as well.
